Lydia — Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
Welcome to Lydia! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lydia mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by KD Creative LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Lydia account. Users under 18 may have restricted access to certain features, including events designated as 18+ or 21+. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet the minimum age requirement.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your profile information current.
We use Clerk for authentication. By signing in, you also agree to Clerk's terms of service as they apply to the authentication process. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, that company's terms also apply to the sign-in itself.
3. User Content
"User Content" includes profile information, photos, bios, social links, and any other content you submit through the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it within the Service for the purpose of operating and improving Lydia.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or that infringes on the rights of others.
We may remove User Content that violates these Terms without prior notice.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or spam
5. Objectionable Content, Blocking, and Reporting
We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users on Lydia. "Objectionable content" includes harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual or violent material, impersonation, spam, and content that endangers a minor.
Reporting. You can report any artist, band, venue, or show from the "..." menu on its profile. Reports are confidential - we never tell the person you reported who reported them. We review every report within 24 hours and remove content or remove users who violate these Terms.
Blocking. You can block another user from the "..." menu on any of their profiles. Blocking is mutual and account-level: the blocked user cannot contact you, invite you, book you, or find you anywhere in the app from any profile they own or later create, and you will not see them either. Blocking removes any existing connection between you, stops either of you following the other's profiles, and cancels any pending invitations and applications; unblocking does not restore them. You can see and undo your blocks at any time under "Blocked" in the app menu.
Blocking governs the Lydia app. It does not remove publicly shared web pages on lydia.live, which are public by design in the same way as any other public web page.
Enforcement. We may remove content, suspend an account, or permanently terminate an account that posts objectionable content or abuses other users, with or without prior notice. Creating a new account to evade a block or a suspension is itself a violation of these Terms.
6. Connections and Contact Sharing
When you send or accept a connection request, certain profile information (including your name, phone number if provided, and email) may be shared with the other party. You acknowledge that once contact information is shared through a connection, we cannot control how the other party uses that information.
7. Events and Venues
Venue managers are responsible for the accuracy of event listings, including age restrictions, times, and other details. Lydia is not responsible for the accuracy of event information posted by venue managers or for any issues arising from attending events discovered through the Service.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and original content (excluding User Content), is owned by KD Creative LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER, WHETHER ONLINE OR OFFLINE. USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KD CREATIVE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
11. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from inside the app: open the menu, tap your email address, and tap "Delete Account." Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no recovery period. If you no longer have the app installed, you can request deletion at lydia.live/delete-account and we will action it within 7 days.
Some things deliberately survive the deletion of your account. A venue you managed remains listed, because a venue is a real place and its shows are facts about that place; if you were its only manager it becomes unclaimed. Shows you posted remain, for the same reason. A band with other members remains, and one of them becomes its admin. Safety reports filed by or about your account are retained with your identity removed, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we determine, in our sole discretion, that your use of the Service poses a risk to other users or to the Service itself.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Ohio.
If you obtained Lydia through the Apple App Store, your license to the application itself is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms govern your use of the Lydia service.
